It was formed and registered with Govt. of Nagaland in the year 2002 with the aim to uplift the down trodden sections of the society. Since its inception, the society has strived to enhance the status of IDUs (KP) by addressing stigma and discrimination in the society. Supported by the NSACS and funded by NACO.
The society started implementing the IDU Targeted Intervention project
in August 2014 and over the years it has enhanced its capability in many
areas such as documentation, management (program and finance) and technical
subjects. Capacity building measures initiated by NACO-NSACS has enabled
the Organizational Staffs exposure to various trainings in the field of
accountancy, outreach planning, overdose management, abscess management STI
management, CBT, etc. Coordination and networking capacity of the organization
has been strengthened considerably. To ensure quality services to the Key
Population (KPs) and reach out to as many KPs as possible, the organization
has been able to set up sub contact persons at village levels to act as
secondary distribution in our operational areas.
The target area of the project is divided into five blocks: Chizami,
Zuketsa, Sakraba, RD Block, Pfutsero and Chozuba.
